Mary Ella Moorcroft

Mary Ella Moorcroft passed away peacefully on January 22nd at the Cottage Pavilion in Abbotsford at the age of 81. She was born in Edmonton, Alberta. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Larry Moorcroft, parents Bill & Eva Forsyth and brother Oran Forsyth. She is survived by her nieces Nicole Pattison (Shawn) & Jennifer Taylor (Andy) as well as great-nephews and niece: Connor, Dylan, Jake & Kaitlyn. Mary was a very loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a great sense of humor and loved to tell a funny story or joke she heard. She also had a huge heart and an incredible memory! She always remembered people's birthdays and ages, names and ages of other's family members and always knew how many hours it was till she held her infant family members.
For over 20 years Mary worked at Douglas College as a file clerk and made many friends over the years.
Mary loved everything Country Western, Elvis, hummingbirds, horses, roses and her Scottish heritage. She thoroughly enjoyed her trips to the PNE and checking out all the livestock, dog shows and vendors. She also enjoyed visiting all her friends at the Army & Navy club in Maple Ridge.
The family would like to thank all of Mary's friends that have helped her over the years, you've meant the world to Mary. A specific heartfelt thanks to Chris, Christine, Joan, Anne and Elizabeth.
There will be a celebration of life for Mary on February 5th at 2pm at the Army & Navy Club located at 22326 North Avenue, Maple Ridge.
