With deep sadness we announce Mary’s sudden passing into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on May 3, 2017. Mary was born July 22, 1930, in Creston, BC. In 1952, she married Peter Verigin and moved to Mission with him where they raised their family and ran a small business. After retiring, she spent many years volunteering with the Mission Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by her son Jack of Mission, son John (Denine) of Chilliwack, daughter Shirley (Dennis) Klassen of Abbotsford, daughter Kathy (Wally) Sytsma of Kamloops, 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Mary is also survived by her siblings Joe (Nettie) Nazaroff of Castlegar, Ann (John, deceased) Hoolaeff of South Slocan, and John Nazaroff of Vancouver. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1988 and son Billy in 1984. She was loved and will be missed until we meet again. At Mary’s request, there was no funeral but a family graveside service was held on May 10, 2017, at Hatzic Cemetary.
