We are saddened to announce the loss of our dear mom, grandma, sister, partner, aunt, niece and dear friend Maureen Emlyn Haddock on September 21, 2022.
Maureen passed away peacefully at Holmberg Hospice House in Abbotsford with family at her side.
Predeceased by her late husband Bill Haddock, Mom and Dad Drew, granddaughter Hanna, Maureen is survived by her sons Morgan (Elisha), Liam (Caitlin), step daughter Kim, step son Chris, partner Howard Gao (son Andrew), along with her 5 brothers, several grandchildren, step grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Maureen grew up in Burnaby and graduated from Alpha High School. Her early working years were in administration with the Vancouver School Board before moving to Mission where she was Church secretary and longtime congregant and volunteer at St. Andrew's United Church.
Maureen also worked part time in a care home and volunteered with Mission Victim Services in co-ordination with the RCMP eventually becoming a full-time staff with a ten-year tenure.
Maureen's passion to help others was unmistakably her greatest gift to everyone who's lives she touched.
Always in our hearts, memories with her and her sometimes strange but always funny sense of humor will never be forgotten.
