Merle proudly grew up on the prairies and moved to Trail, BC in 1949 where he met Agnes. He attended British Columbia Bible Institute and pastored with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada throughout BC for 28 years. After leaving the ministry, he held a number of jobs until he retired. He loved hymns, trains, his 1940 Packard, antiques and any electronic gadget. He was a hard worker, very social and never forgot a face or remembered a name. He laughed easily, preached practically and loved life whole-heartedly. He’s in the presence of Jesus. Many thanks to Dr. Greyling and the staff of Abbotsford Regional Hospital who provided exceptional care. No flowers please, but donations can be made to Summit Pacific College Library in Merle’s memory. Cremation has taken place with later internment in Trail, BC.
