SIMPSON Merlin. Merlin (Sam) Simpson passed away at Abbotsford Regional Hospital just short of his 75th birthday. He is survived by his wife Isabel; children Brent Simpson of Abbotsford, daughter Linda Simpson of Victoria; his grandchildren Kyle and Natasha Simpson, both of Abbotsford; his sister Sheila Bissell of Calgary; and many nieces and nephews. Merlin or better known as Sam, worked for the District of Matsqui and City of Abbotsford from 1974 retiring in 1998. He spent many years with the maintenance yard and is best known for operating the street sweeper truck in the city. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Rancho Banquet Hall, 31110 Delair Road, Abbotsford, BC.
