Michael James Louttit

April 26, 1964 - February 29, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael James Louttit, age 55. Mike was born on April 26, 1964 in New Westminster, BC. Mike settled down in Mission, BC and happily lived there for the past 24 years, but he always said his true home was where his wife and kids were. Mike and Pam were married for 35 years and had three kids: their first daughter Candyce (Dan) who have two children (Karmyn age 9 and Lincoln age 5); their second daughter Kelly, and their son Scott (Ayla).
Mike loved to go fishing and camping with his wife and kids resulting in many wonderful memories. Mike had a passion for dirt bikes, and he took great pride in that both his son Scott and daughter Kelly also loved and raced motocross. To Mike, the tireless hours spent ensuring the dirt bikes were safe and race ready or the hours spent driving to soccer and hockey games was worth every moment to be with his children. He adored his two grandchildren and he truly loved being a Grandpa. Mike was also an established local business owner, who took pride in his work as a general restoration contractor and who always was willing to show younger workers how to construct or build things.
In 2014, Mike was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease. Despite the challenges, Mike continued to make memories with family and friends. His wife Pam ensured that they continued life to the fullest, including going on trips to Hawaii, Mexico and cruising to Alaska. Mike also fulfilled his wish to take his family and grand-kids to Disneyland. Mike's disease progressed quickly.
He passed away peacefully on February 29, 2020. He will be missed everyday by his family. Mike will also be missed by his sisters, Jackie and Kathy, sister-in laws, Roxanne (Miles), Elly (Bill) and Lori, by his nieces and nephews and by his friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21st at 11:00am at Henderson's Langley Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley, BC.
