Nettie Helen (Neta) Warkentin (formerly Bergen, nee Peters) 86, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Maplewood House Senior Care Facility in Abbotsford, BC. She was born in 1929 in Gnadenthal, MB. She grew up on a farm near Winnipegosis, MB and attended the Bicton Heath School. She married Alfred Bergen in 1952. They lived in BC for about 20 years and then moved back to Manitoba in 1975 to a farm in the Fork River area. A tragic accident claimed Alfred's life on April 19, 1989. Neta married John Warkentin in 1991. In 2013 Neta moved back to Abbotsford, BC to be near the care and attention of her immediate family members living there. Services will be held in BC at Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church on January 18th, and in Winnipegosis, Manitoba at the Nordheim Mennonite Church on February 6th. www.dignitymemorial.ca
