STEENHUISEN; Nikkolas (Nikko) Alexander


Nikko was born on June 28, 1981 in Burnaby, BC and tragically killed in Grande Prairie, AB on May 14, 2016 at the age of 34. Nikko’s love for his family and friends filled his HUGE heart which he proudly wore on his sleeve. His passion for life and all it had to offer showed in all he did. Whether it was traveling away to work in other provinces to provide his wife and kids the life he believed they deserved, or going out of his way to help people in need, he dedicated himself completely to accomplish any task he set out to do. Nikko was predeceased by his Opa - Johan-Willem Diedrick (1999) and his Uncle - Martin Steenhuisen (1997). Nikko is survived by his loving Wife - Megan (nee: MacDonald), Daughters - Maddyson (8 years), Mikaela (6 years) & Shelby (19 mos); Parents – June and Ray Clear; Brother – Spencer Clear; Oma – Antonia Steenhuisen-Willemsen as well as numerous other family and many friends. Nikko was an active member of Local 359(BC) and Local 146(AB) Boilermakers Unions; a most dedicated and exceptional Athletic Trainer for the PJHL’s Mission City Outlaws Junior Hockey Team; a committed PAC member at Alexander Elementary School; his most important role was that of Proud Daddy to three amazing little girls and Wonderful Husband; He will truly be missed by so many. Nikko’s Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 @ 3pm in the North Arena at the Mission Leisure Centre – 7650 Grand Street, Mission, BC. Reception to follow in the Curling Rink Lounge. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to 4 Nikko’s Girls Trust at any CIBC branch using Transit #00220 – Account #2264730 - there will also be a collection box available at the service.
