May 25, 1917 - July 15, 2019
Born in Winnipeg, MB on May 25, 1917, to Tom and Annie Malpass. Predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Lawrence, her sister, Evelyn, her brother, Arnold, her son-in-law, Mike, and her granddaughter, Bobbi-Lin. Survived by her son, Larry (Dawna), daughters, Linda (Larry), Sharon and Barbara, and son, Dan (Cheryl) and her grandchildren: Shelley, Leslie, Angela, Ken, Douglas, Nicole, Suzanne, Doug, Jaimie, Danielle and Matt and her great-grandchildren: Kristi, Cassandra, Jesse, Kirklen, Rebecca, Alyssa, Kirstin, Ross, Marlee, Hannah, Noelle, Ivan and Stella and her great-great-grandchildren: Hanna, Jackson and Nathan, as well as her beloved dog and companion, Casey. Mom always made everyone feel welcome. Whether it was hosting their grandchildren at their home on Pender Island to go swimming, catch shrimp off the dock in Thieves Bay, eat wonderful home-cooked meals, enjoy homemade chocolate chip cookies or having family and friends at their place in Crown Point Villas in Abbotsford for peaceful evenings on the patio and Dad's homemade wine, everyone was greeted with a big smile and open arms. Mom's credo was, "Be kind to one another." and she personified this each and every day- not just with her loved ones, but with anyone who crossed her path. Many thanks to all the staff at TRIM and especially John for all the wonderful outings that Mom loved so much. If wished, donations can be made to Special Olympics, the SPCA, or a charity of choice. A family gathering will be held at a later date.
