BERGEN Joanne Theresa
Joanne Theresa Bergen of Abbotsford passed away into the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on May 11, 2008 at the age of 49. Always one to stay in the background in crowds, when in small groups or one-on-one, you would discover her sweet and gentle soul. Joanne related well with children, connecting with their joy and their creative spirit. Joanne leaves behind a family who loves her dearly; her husband Eric of 25 years; children Shaun, Jennifer and Bradley; mom Wilhelmina Pouw; father-in-law Henry Bergen; sisters Cathy (Doug) Pollington, Rita (Myron) Graves, Cindy (Ingi) Bjornson; brothers Dave (Tammy) Pouw, Frank (Carolyn) Pouw; brother-in-law Gary Bergen; sisters-in-law Linda (John) Wiens, Laurie Paul Finch; and numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives.
She was predeceased by her father Frank Pouw and her mother-in-law Tina Bergen. A celebration of Joanne's life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Abbotsford Evangelical Free Church, 33218 Marshall Road, with reception to follow. Donations may be made to The Cancer Society, a charity, or a missionary of your choice in Joanne's memory.
