Richard J. “Rick” Elias passed away on March 26, 2006 at the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission after a very long, courageous, and painful fight with cancer. He was born in Abbotsford on December 20, 1949. He was predeceased by his father Harvey Elias in 1992. Survived by is loving family, mother Katie Elias Reeve, step-father Herb Reeve, two sons Chris (Jane) of Winnipeg, MB and Andrew (Jenna) of Kamloops, BC, two brothers Gary Elias of Abbotsford and Doug Elias of Mission, two nephews Isaac Elias of Mission and Paul (Sue) Elias of Moncton, NB, three nieces Kaitlyn Elias of Mission, Marcy (Scott) Holden and family of Abbotsford, and Mindy (Ryan) LeDuke and family of Calgary, two step-sisters Barbara Fairclough of Courtney, Shirley Reeve (Gordon Ball) of Coquitlam, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
You were so very sick and so tired, you are finally at peace. We will love you and miss so much for ever and ever.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 11:00 am at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford. Burial was held at Hazelwood Cemetery. A reception will follow the service.
Donations may be made to the Christine Morrison Hospice in memory of Rick.
