August 21, 1928 ~ February 25, 2015
It is with sad hearts that we say goodbye to Richard, who passed away peacefully at the Mission Hospice on February 25th, 2015. He is survived by his sister Betty (Abbotsford), his step children Ken (Cathy), Doug (Lorelee), Tom (Sandi) and Linda (Gerry) along with grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended family. Richard was predeceased by his wife Merle; and his sisters Ivy, Ruby, Lauretta and Beatrice. Richard was a very proud man and loved to tell stories of his logging days in and around British Columbia. He loved his family and was very proud of each one. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 30th at 1:00 pm at Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Road, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Richard's name to the Canadian Cancer Society. On line condolences to the family may be made to:
