Robert "Bob" Morrison

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Bob (Robert) Morrison. He passed quickly and quietly on April 4, 2019.

Bob was pre-deceased by his wife, Leila Morrison (nee Ament). She was the love of his life and they were married for over 60 years.

Bob is survived by his children, Patti and Alan Morrison; his grandchildren, Tiffany Hewson, Robert Weir, Cassidy and Cody Morrison; his great grandchildren, Alexis Masch, Raden Skoflek and Jemma Gillespie. Bob is also survived by extended family spread across Canada and the USA and countless friends.

Bob was born Robert Louis Joseph Watson Morrison on October 30, 1928 to Raymonde and Claire Morrison. He attended Glenlawn Collegiate and worked as a salesman throughout Canada and Asia for major sporting goods outlets such as Browning.

Bob and Lee eventually found themselves in Mission, British Columbia where they both quickly became a pillar of their community. A member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Associated Canadian Travellers and Elks Canada, Bob served as the Exalted Ruler of the local Elks Lodge #30 (Mission) and also served as Deputy District Director from 1994-95. In 2019, at is 90th Birthday, Bob was given the Elks Honorary Life Membership Award. Bob was an avid curler and represented BC at national seniors' competitions on a number of occasions including 1998 and 2000. Always the intrepid salesman and fundraiser, you could always count on Bob to have a set of raffle tickets in his pocket. He was a consistent donor and fundraiser for Mission Hospice Society, BC Cancer Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Red Cross and the World Wildlife Fund.

Bobs Celebration of Life will be held at the Mission Elks Lodge #30, on April 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm. While Bob will surely be missed, he will not be soon forgotten.
