Bob was born in Burnaby, BC and served in the RCN during World War Two. In 1947 he and Audrey Harris embarked on a life of love that lasted sixty years. As a C.A. Bob was a significant and well-respected leader in Mission's business community. He retired at 50 to enjoy traveling, part-time accounting, golf, tennis, curling and playing the stock market. After Audrey's death from ALS, he found new love and happiness with Audrey McPherson until her passing. Chartwell Cedarbrooke staff and Linda Gilbert made Bob's last years of independence enjoyable and safe, and George Derby Centre staff gave him kind and respectful care. Memorial gifts can be made to the Mission Foundation (Ellis Family Fund), ALS Society of BC, and Cancer Society of BC.
