CLARK, Robert (Bob) Laverne

April 11, 1924 – March 14, 2009

Bob passed peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday March 14, 2009 at the age of 84 years. A loving husband and father, Bob will be missed by his wife of 58 years, Vera; daughters Phyllis Reid (Kelowna) and Pamela (Keith) Bagley (Kelowna); son Greg (Jean) Clark, nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Bob was a kind and generous man who touched the lives of many people, and he will live in the hearts of his friends and all who knew him. Bob was proud of his service in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 25 years. He and his brothers operated a shake and shingle mill in the Enderby area for 35 years. Born in Silverdale BC, Bob and his family moved to the Okanagan in the 50’s and have resided here since; living in Kingfisher, Ashton Creek, Enderby, and most recently Vernon. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Fred Dyck; Dr. Denis Lavoie; and the staff and volunteers of the North Okanagan Hospice Society. A memorial service will be held on March 27, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Trinity United Church, 3300 Alexis Park Dr., Vernon BC. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Bob to the North Okanagan Hospice Society, 3506 27th Avenue, Vernon BC, V1T 1S4.
