FOREMAN Robert William

May 17, 1925 ~ May 11, 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce that Robert (Bob) William Foreman passed away at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital on May 11, 2013. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Thelma in 1989. Bob is survived by his son Ken, daughter-in-law Marcia, granddaughters Julie (Mitch) and Allison (Jared), sister-in-law Phyllis and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Merv and Sylvia as well as many nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Vancouver and moved with his parents to Mission as a young boy where he made many life long friends. He proudly served overseas in WW2 with the Seaforth Highlanders from 1943-1946. After the war, Bob trained to be a pharmacist at UBC where he graduated in 1951 at the top of his class. Bob and Thelma were married in 1948. They moved to Cloverdale in 1951 where they made many friends and Bob worked for 38 years as a pharmacist/pharmacy owner. Bob moved to the Crown Point Villas in Abbotsford in 1994 so that he could be closer to his family. Bob loved to golf, fish, build and fly radio controlled airplanes and share a good joke. For many years he wintered in Arizona with family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held to honour Bob on June 15th from 1 - 3 pm at the Crown Point Villas amenity building, 1450 McCallum Rd., Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests that donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross or to the Crown Point Villas Toymaker's Club.
