Ronald Lester CHARLTON

Ronald Lester Charlton of Mission, BC, went home to be with Jesus on September 9, 2006, at Christine Morrison Hospice, Mission, BC, at the age of 82 years. He was born on May 22, 1924 in North Williamston, Annapolis Co., Nova Scotia, and was the son of the late Fred and Hazel Charlton. Ron moved his family to British Columbia in 1968 and has lived in the Lower Mainland ever since.

He was a strong, hard working man that was extremely devoted to his family. He knew his time was near and was at peace and ready to go to be with his Father. His family was a source of pride and joy to his life and they rest assured that they will all be together with him again some day in heaven. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Betty (Lowe); children Ann Roeske (Eric), Kirk (Lesley), Sheryl Sanderson (Russell), Jeff, Darren (Nancy) and Shawn (Lena); grandchildren Melissa (Sid), Matthew, Megan (Dave), Rhianna, Jesse, Caleb, Jonas, Derrick (Amber), Aaron, Olivia, Emilie, Sarah, Katie, Abbie, Jonathan, Nathan, and Daniel; and from Nova Scotia, brothers Perley (Edera) Charlton, Danny (Ellen) Charlton, sister-in-law Connie Charlton, and many loving nieces and ­nephews. He was predeceased by infant daughter Dara; brothers Harold and Russell, and sisters Eileen and Vera.

Viewing will be at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home, 7386 Horne Street, Mission on Thursday, September 14, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Celebration of Life Service will be held at Mission Foursquare Church on Friday, September 15, 2006 at 2:00 pm, 33837 Prentis Ave, Mission. Donations in memory may be made to The Christine Morrison Hospice in remembrance of Ron Charlton.
