FOX, Ruth Emma

Ruth was born to Missionary parents in Bangalore, India on Dec. 11, 1917 and died peacefully in Tabor Home, Abbotsford on Nov. 22, 2009. She trained as a nurse in England and worked there and in Canada, also faithfully nursing her parents, Silas and Emma at the end of their lives. Like her Biblical namesake, Ruth was a faithful, generous, believing friend to all who knew her. She was predeceased by her siblings John, Donald and Mary and is survived by her siblings David and George, many nephews and nieces including Mark & Shirley Fox. A graveside interment has been held in Abbotsford on Nov. 25. The family thanks the excellent staff & residents of Tabor Home who were Ruth's home for the final years of her life. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Leprosy Mission Canada (www.leprosy.ca) or MSC Canada (www.msccanada.org).
