It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sandra Margaret Selvaraja (nee Hodgson). Sandra passed away on May 14th, 2018 at the age of 69.
Sandra was born on March 25th, 1949 in Lancaster England. She attended nursing school in Bristol where she became a registered nurse. She married the love of her life Selva "Ken" in 1973 and moved to Canada in 1974 and worked as a nurse at the Mission Hospital for over 40 years. Sandra enjoyed attending St Paul's Presbyterian Church.
Sandra was passionate with helping others and supported her husband Selva with all his charitable endeavors. Sandra also loved to go on vacations with her entire family.
She will be lovingly remembered by her mother Doris Hodgson, husband Kandiah "Selva" Selvaraja of 44 years; children Naomi (Brent) Selvaraja-Fossett, Nathan (Laura) Selvaraja and grandchildren Kelly Selvaraja-Fossett, Kiran Selvaraja-Fossett, Lily Selvaraja and Olivia Selvaraja as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Sandra is predeceased by her father Harry Hodgson and brother Raymond Hodgson.
A Memorial Service will be held at Cedar Valley Mennonite Church 32860 Cherry Avenue in Mission BC on Saturday May 26th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Mission Rotary Starfish program, which is a program that helps to feed underprivileged children in our community.
