Stanley Paul 'Stan' Wade

November 29, 1950 - September 3, 2022
Passed away in peace during his 71st year on Sept 3,2022 after a mighty battle with Cancer. He is survived by his children Heather (Danny), Angela and Garth(Christie); 3 grandchildren Emily, Jack and Max; mother, Verna; sister, Sheila and brother, Courtney(Cathy).
Stan was born November 29, 1950 in Victoria, BC as the first child of Jack & Verna Wade who moved to Mission, BC where he was raised and spent most of his younger years. Stan met his wife Debbie Daniels in the mid 1970's, and they eventually moved to their family home in Ruskin where they spent many years raising their kids and having many fun parties. Stan & Deb loved nothing more than to entertain family and friends in their beautiful country home.
He followed in his father's footsteps and became a BC Land Surveyor and built on the business his father started with offices in Mission and Maple Ridge. At work Stan was very driven and detail oriented and was able to build many long-term relationships in those communities. He was recently very proud to hand off the business to a 3rd generation of Wade Land Surveyors; his son Garth who will run the company going forward.
Like his father, Stan was an active member of the community serving in the Maple Ridge Rotary Club in different capacities and was also deeply involved in the Ducks Unlimited organization. Stan was known to give 100% to everything he was involved in without compromise, whether it was work, charity or the many different hobbies he had over the years. These included his love of music, cars and his many other collectables. He and Debbie were big believers in "having fun" and would take their kids and anyone else who wanted to come for the ride on various trips, camping & skiing adventures. We will all miss him greatly.
A Celebration of Stanley's life is planned at 18 Pastures Golf Course, 29110 Matheson Ave; Mission, on Sunday Oct 9 from 1-4pm. The family invites family, friends and business acquaintances to come share some stories, and celebrate Stan's life.
