Stephanie Lynn Mary Schmidtke born on August 3, 1992 was Abbotsford's BC Day baby that year. On September 24, 2013 at the age of 21, Stephanie passed away in a tragic car accident. Stephanie was an angel on earth who impacted countless lives with her enthusiasm, optimism and heart for her Lord that she shared openly and honestly. Stephie leaves behind her mom and dad Evan and Shelley Schmidtke; her older brother Kristopher Schmidtke; grandmother Lynn Smith; grand- parents Paul and Darleen Schmidtke as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends and the love of her life Nicholas Goertz. Stephie had a passion for people and was finishing her 3rd year in the Bachelor of Nursing program at MacEwan University. She had been looking forward to using these skills overseas to make a difference in helping others. A Celebration of Stephanie's Life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 22550 Township Road, Sherwood Park, AB. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Stephanie's memory to the Parkinson's Society of BC.
