McDONALD Stewart Douglas. March 11, 1933 ~ Dec. 15, 2011. We sadly announce the passing of Stewart McDonald. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour, his positive attitude and compassion for others. Stew enjoyed playing drums at a younger age, drawing, and music. He is pre-deceased by brothers Herb, Bob, Ronald, Gordon and sister Prudence also his mother and dad, Mary Alice and Ronald. Survived by his wonderful family in Port Alberni, daughters Kathy, Trisha, Tracy, Lisa and son Shawn (Tammy) McDonald in Coquitlam, also brother Richard (Anna) in Alberta and sister Marg in Qualicum, many nieces and nephews and grandchildren. Stew also leaves behind his loving family, spouse Virginia Bowles and son Darren (Natalie) McDonald, brother-in-law John (Laurena) Kabatoff and sister-in-law Beverly Belanger. Viewing was held Wednesday December 21 at First Memorial Service Aldergrove, Cremation to follow. There will be a celebration of Stew's life on January 14, 2012 at the home of Darren and Natalie McDonald. Thank-you to MSA Manor staff and Dr. Paul's care.
