HOOD; Stuart David. 1919 ~ 2013. Stu, as he was most commonly known, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2013. He will be remembered dearly by his beloved wife Lorraine of 64 years, their children Rob, Ken, Laurie and Carol-Lynn, and grandchildren James, Carissa, Stu, Sam, Stephanie and Andrew. Stu’s soul and spirit now soars with his brother Doug. The two were commonly seen together over the past decade, recounting adventures of lives well lived in Mission where they were born, married, raised families, and left a legacy. Stu will be remembered for his welcoming smile, generosity, and dedication to home, family and friends. Stu was predeceased by his son Gord in 1973 and granddaughter Maddie in 2012. Stu’s life will be honoured Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. during a tea at the Mission Legion where Stu was a life member following his days in the Royal Canadian Navy. The Hood family welcomes those who wish to attend as we celebrate the life of the man we were all honoured to know and love. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
