Susan Dee Boyd

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Dee Boyd, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, on December 5, 2024.

Susan was a beacon of kindness, compassion, and quiet strength. She is survived by her devoted spouse, Lou; her cherished daughter, Jessie; her adored grandsons, Marcus and Maximus; and her son-in-law, Gavin. Susan's family also includes her stepdaughter, Michelle; stepson, Rejean; daughter-in-law, Ailsa; and her beloved granddaughters, Anna and Isabelle.

Susan will be deeply missed by her siblings: Jayne, Christine, Peggy, Bonnie, Charles, Jim, and Bill, as well as her sisters-in-law Atsuko, Dinah, Lise, Yo, Yvette, and Irene, and brother-in-law Andy. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Susan was predeceased by her father, James Boyd; mother, Helen Lila Grace Boyd; her grandparents; and her first husband, Colin Paterson.

Susan had a lifelong passion for helping others, beginning with her career as an LPN. In her later years, she managed local walk-in clinics, continuing her commitment to care and service. She found joy in quietly helping others without seeking recognition, embodying the true meaning of generosity.

Her greatest pride was her family. Susan's love for her grandsons shone brightly through her involvement in their activities, including the 4th West Heights Scouts. She was an active member of the Galaxy Bowl community in Abbotsford and enjoyed 5-pin bowling. Above all, Susan's most cherished role was being a mom and grandma, and she fulfilled it with unmatched love and dedication.

A service to celebrate Susan's remarkable life will be held on December 21st,2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at 26607 Fraser Highway, Aldergrove, BC.

Susan's kindness and loving spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She truly was the best there ever was.
