Hoffman Thomas Leo. It is with great sadness we announce the death of Thomas Leo Hoffman. Tom passed away on Dec. 2, 2009 at 2:05 a.m. at the age of 80 at the Gateby Care Home in Vernon BC. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Helen, his children; Dale, Dennis, Thomas Jr, his stepchildren Ron & Carol, his 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is survived by his brothers & sisters, William, Ann, Irene & Loretta. Predeceased by brothers & sisters, Joe, George, Bert, Charlie, Robert, Elizabeth, Josephine & Mary. Also his parents Joe & Rose. Tom was born in Gravelburg, Sask. on March 10th, 1929, his family settled in Abbotsford, B.C. in 1931 where Tom resided for 58 years. Tom spent 45 years working for Dairyland. In 1989 Tom & Helen moved to Vernon B.C. They spent some of their best years at their cabin on Okanagan Lake sharing many good times with family & friends. Tom had a passion for carpentry and was always willing to help anyone in need. Thank you to Dr. Cunningham and the staff at Gateby Care Home for their loving care of Tom. In lieu of flowers his family ask that donations be made to the Parkinson's Society. We will celebrate his life in Vernon on Dec 13th, at 1 p.m.
