FRIESEN; Tobias. May 14, 1984 ~ March 24, 2014. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tobias into the presence of his Lord. His life ended suddenly in a tragic car accident, along with two co-workers, on Highway 33 near Sedley, SK on his way home from work. He will be remembered by his wife, Daniela (Fast) and his young daughter, Annabel. As well as, his parents, John and Irina Friesen, siblings Daniela (Ronny with Eric, Katie, Caleb), Markus (Marilyn with Noah, Makayla), Johnny, Joseph (Danae). Tobias Friesen was born in Salzkotten, Germany on May 14, 1984. He immigrated to Canada, as a young boy, with his family and eventually settled in Abbotsford, BC. He met his wife, Daniela Fast, at TREK in the summer of 2010 and they were married on August 26, 2011. He became a proud father to Annabel on February 10, 2013. Last October, he moved his family to White City, SK for his employment as an electrician. Toby enjoyed many activities including travelling, reading, hunting, fishing, camping, working with the youth at King Road MB Church and at TREK, playing games and sports including hockey, snowboarding and rollerblading. Toby gave his life over to Jesus Christ at the young age of 11 and was baptized at age 24 in Thailand. He shared his love for his Saviour with everyone he met. He had a genuine love for people, sharing his big bear hugs with all. Although Toby's life on this earth was short he lived his life to eventually hear the words "well done good and faithful servant".
