Trygve Loftsgard passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, May 30, 2005 while a resident of the Extended Care Unit of Mission Memorial Hospital. He was in his 89th year.
Trygve was predeceased by his wife Evelyn in 1997; brothers Bjarne, Carl and Rolph; sisters Elsie, Alice, Olga & Luella. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Gail Kihn, June (Mike) Beckwith, Phyllis Loftsgard, Clayton (Donna) Loftsgard, Russell Loftsgard and Sharon Wright (Gary Edge); 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Astrid and Anne; and many nephews and nieces.
Anyone who had an opportunity to meet Trygve would have experienced his kind soft nature, his subtle joking, his warm smile and never forgot those soft blue eyes. He was one in a million. His family would like to thank the staff of the Extended Care Unit for all their wonderful attention that was given to our dad during his stay. We find solace in the thought that he is dancing once again with his wife Evelyn.
A Celebration of Trig’s life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 2:00 pm at 33790 — 3rd Ave., Mission. If desired memorial donations may be made in Trygve’s memory to the Leukemia Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
