HORN ~ Walter Franklin
Sept 23, 1948 to Dec 5, 2008
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother Walter (Wally) Horn. Wally is pre- deceased by his mother, Peggy, and father Cecil. He is survived by his sisters Hazel (Richard) Lisowik, Sylvia (Brian) Horn and brothers John, and Phil (Kim) Horn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends. Wally was employed by BC Hydro for 33 years with his last position being in management. He was an adventurous person, loving the outdoors which included skiing, wind surfing, biking and hiking. He was a long standing member of the Abbotsford Flying Club where he spent many hours planning the Abbotsford Air Show. His love of history took him all over BC and the US in search of museums to explore.
A special thank you to the incredibly dedicated staff at the Deltaview Habilitation Enrichment Center, words cannot express our appreciation for all their care and support to both Wally and the family.
A celebration of his life will take place on Friday December 12, 2008 at 2:00pm at Trinity Memorial United Church on 33737 George Ferguson Way in Abbotsford, BC. There will also be a gathering to share memories and stories of Wally at the Abbotsford Flying Club 30540 Approach Drive Abbotsford Airport please drop in anytime after 5pm.
