Wilhelmina Diana (Billie) died peacefully in her sleep on May 8, 2005.
Born on April 26, 1923, she moved with her family to Canada in 1926. Her early years were spent in Manitoba and Vancouver Island, before marrying Frank. They moved to Dewdney in 1947 where they raised six children. In her 60s she took on the challenge of opening the Little Log Cabin Cafe and will be remembered by many for her apple pies.
Predeceased by her husband Frank, son Peter and son-in-law Terry, she is survived by sons Harold (Lori), Donald (Maria) and Norman, and daughters Colleen and Elaine (Brian), brother Gordon (Stella), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A gathering to share memories of her life will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 12, 2005 at the Elks Lodge, 33336 2nd Ave., Mission. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to a charity of your choice.
