March 19, 1922 – March 27, 2006
Glenn was born in Wilkie, Saskatchewan and lived there until 1939 when he moved to Mission with his family. Glenn graduated Grade 12 at Mission Central in 1941 and apprenticed at Lightbody’s Drug Store until February, 1942 when he joined the army and served in England, France and Holland until the end of WW2. Upon returning to Mission, Glenn went to the Pharmacy School in Vancouver and graduated with a Pharmacy Diploma in 1946 and returned to Lightbody’s Drug Store.
In 1960 Glenn opened his own business, Glenn’s Pharmacy, and operated it until his retirement in 1975, when he went on to enjoy canoeing, hiking, golfing, curling carpet bowling and serving as Treasurer of the Heart and Stroke foundation for 15 years.
He passed away peacefully at home March 27, 2006. Glenn was predeceased by his son Stanley and leaves to mourn his passing, Peggy his wife of 57 years,Â daughters Rebekah Moore, Kathleen McCune (Syd), son Paul (Nola)Â and 6 grandchildren. Although they mourn his loss they are glad to see him at peace and relived of all pain and sorrow.
A memorial service will be held Monday, April 3rd at 11:00 am at All Saints Anglican Church, Mission. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
