HOLLEY, William Elmer

Bill Holley was born in Edson Alberta on May 4, 1922 and passed away on Saturday May 23rd at Mission Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was predeceased by his daughter Beverly in 2008, and his older brother Warren. Bill is survived by his wife Doreen, 3 children Lynne(Brian), Jim(Jill), and Earl; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Margaret and Babe, and many nieces and nephews.

Bill spent his youth in North Vancouver, BC and later joined the R.C.A.F. where he served in Burma during World War II. Life on Canadian military took Bill and his family to exotic locations such as: Halifax, Nova Scotia; Gimli, Manitoba: Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; London, England; Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Cold Lake Alberta.

In the early 1970's he retired to Mission BC where he worked for the Royal Canadian Legion, and later as a bus driver for the Mission School District.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Smith and the staff at the Mission Hospital for their loving care. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 19th at 2pm at Carrington House, 32700 - 7th Ave, Mission BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
