EPP ~ WILLIAM

Mr. William "Bill" Epp late of Abbotsford BC passed away peacefully in the presence of his family after a lengthy illness on November 24, 2008 at the age 76 at Ebenezer Home, Abbotsford BC. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Myrna, 5 children: Tam (Kath), Patricia (Gary), Barbara, Susan (Shane), Michael (Krystal); 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Cathy. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, November 28, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the chapel of Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home at 34537 Marshall Road, with visitation prior to the service. Donations may be made to the Parkinson Society British Columbia and BC Cancer Foundation. The family would like to thank the care aids and nurses at the Ebenezer Home for their excellent care and support. Special thanks to Margaret Leguerrier and Noreen LaChapelle for always being there.

Bill started his work career working for Dominion Construction, Watson Island (near Prince Rupert) where he met Myrna. They were married March 21, 1953. In 1958 they moved to Abbotsford. Bill worked briefly for Coca-Cola and then Taylor Bakery (Pineridge Farms). He continued his successful career when he joined Totem Ready Mix, later to be Discount Concrete Ltd. While working at Discount Concrete he opened his own 2 Bakery Outlets, "Discount Bread Market"; one in Clearbrook, one in Langley. Even though there was lots of work there were also lots of beach days. Myrna and Bill luckily had many trips to Bill's other love, Hawaii. After his first battle with cancer, he worked for Gosling's of Abbotsford for 5 years. He finally retired in 1995.

Bill is fondly remembered with love by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He showed his endless love for his family in each and every action…every day. Never judgmental, always supportive and always there. Thankfully he has passed on these wonderful traits of unconditional love to all of them. He has shown true love with his only love, Myrna.
