1935 - 2005
William James "Bill" of Mission and Oliver, BC, passed away November 14, 2005 at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 70 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Barbara; his sons Russel (Sara) of Surrey and Stephan of Oliver; his brother Grant (Doris) of Oliver and sister Jean (Bob) Grant of White Rock; sister-in-law Betty Stretch of Maple Ridge as well as his brother-in-law George in Germany and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Bruce and his parents. Bill was born in Port Coquitlam and spent most of his years in the Fraser Valley.
In 1975 Bill made Mission his home and went to Oliver in the fall of 2004. Prior to a 25 year career as a corrections officer in Mission, Bill worked for Shell Oil and as a logger. He loved spending his spare time enjoying the outdoors and fishing.
