Bill was born on May 6th, 1923 in Toronto and passed away peacefully on Feb 25, 2006 in Abbotsford, BC. Predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Margaret (nee Millhouse); his brother Donald and sister Margaret. Survived by his brother Sam; daughters Donna Hick (Grant), Denise Huzzey (Jim); son Doug (Sherene) and grandchildren Christine (John), Daniel, Bryn, Megan, Kaitlin, Travis, Marisa and Kiera.
Bill started his working life as a plumber then, after serving with the RCASC in Victoria (Mary Hill) during WWII, fell in love and stayed on the coast to marry, raise his family and pursue an incredibly satisfying career with BC Parks. He loved nothing more than the open road, pleasant company and a good cup of coffee. His humour, boundless generosity, passion for serving the Lord he knew so well and dedication to family and friends will be sorely missed.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm, Sat., March 4, 2006 at Abbotsford Pentecostal Church, 3145 Gladwin Rd. In lieu of Âflowers, donations to Africa Operation Whole (Vern Tisdalle) or Village of Hope Zambia will be accepted at the memorial with great appreciation.
