UPSHALL, William ( Bill)
It is with sad hearts that we say goodbye to a dear father, grandfather, and friend. Dad was born in Vancouver June 16th, 1934 and due to complications from diabetes, passed away peacefully with his family and close friends by his side on January 25th. He was predeceased by his partner Josephine in November 2010, his daughter Deb and stepson Les. Bill is survived by his children Lyn(Don), Bill, Marlene(Brian), stepchildren Max, Karen (George), Bob(Vivian) and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friends. A long time resident of Mission, Bill worked many years at Stave Lake Cedar. He spent a great deal of time out on the Fraser River fishing for the big one. He also was an avid chess player (played by correspondence for many years) and could often be found reading a good book, playing canasta or cheering on his beloved Canucks.
