A lifetime resident of Mission and the longest member of the Mission Legion of 72 years and was recently honoured as the longest member of the legion in Canada.
He served his country in World War II and also the Merchant Marines on the Atlantic, Caribbean and South Pacific oceans also the China sea.
Predeceased by his daughter, Karen he is survived by his daughter Kathryn, 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson and 11 great children.
Bill loved the outdoors, he spent many years in the caribou hunting and fishing and bought a cabin at Sulphurous Lake (The Billy Bob Inn) where he would spend his summers entertaining his family and friends and sitting by the water feeding his ducks.
He will be greatly missed for his kind heart and gentle soul.
