LETTER: Moving 911 service a bad call?

So, you’re going to save approx $316,000. How many lives are you going to jeopardize for this savings?

I just read the article regarding 911 calls being directed to Vancouver.

Are you kidding me? Really?

So, you’re going to save approx $316,000. How many lives are you going to jeopardize for this savings?

I find this incomprehensible that we hear about it four days before it goes into effect. I can only imagine what the people in Kent and Harrison Hot Springs think.

I’m a senior and need an ambulance once or twice a year for breathing difficulties and I can only hope I don’t expire before an ambulance arrives because of an overloaded system or an operator misdirected call.
