Let me make sure that I understand Randy Hawes' platform. He is going to raise taxes so that our public employees can make even more money/benefits than they already have and address the homeless and addiction problems that plague people that really don't want to help themselves.
Good luck with that Mr. Hawes.
I say you should instead focus on why our public sector has better pay, benefits and retirement than the rest of us, and if morale is so low that you fear striking public employees, then we have the wrong people in the wrong jobs. Post their positions and watch the resumes flood in.
As a senior on a fixed income with no retirement, I say that dog won't hunt. Please, go back into retirement. We can't afford you.
