LETTER: The kindness of strangers

When others around them recognized they were having difficulty coming back down to the main trail, the kindness of strangers kicked in.

On Sunday afternoon our two granddaughters were up the hiking trails at Heritage Park when Em had an accidental fall and hurt her ankle.

When others around them recognized they were having difficulty coming back down to the main trail, the kindness of strangers kicked in to help them out.

Someone also lent a cell phone so the girls could call us. When we arrived on the trail, they were waiting with a mom and daughter.

Em didn’t have any broken bones but has a pulled tendon, painful nonetheless.

A big thank you to all of those who gave assistance to the girls.
