LETTER: Why are gas prices in Mission so high asks reader?

‘Come on, gas retailers, just be fair’

Seems like the local retailers selling gas want to take advantage of us. Why is the 18.5 cents per litre TransLink tax not taken off when I can buy gas in Maple Ridge for 155.9 and in Mission for 157.9. Also this same week (May16), Kelowna was 139.9.

I know retailing is difficult but there seems to be a coordinated effort in exploiting us. It is difficult enough for working families, with just about everything going up – taxes, services, food. Come on, gas retailers, just be fair.
