Editor, The Record:
I would like to know if the District of Mission fines stores for not cleaning snow off sidewalks. Shouldn’t the municipality then be fined for not doing the same thing on the sidewalks to Safeway and Shoppers, and also the stairs on First Avenue?
Not all people have cars.
Another thing, behind Inform Fitness, the sidewalk is narrow. Lots of cars come around the corner. I think the district should clean up the bushes and make the sidewalk wider. Also, that road behind Inform gets cold, ice forms on the sidewalk and it is very hard to pass.
Last year when we had the cold spell, I slipped and fell against a police car that was parked there. As well, in the last four years there were three car accidents at that spot.
