What are your goals for these Games and in sport?

My goal is to have a good skate that I finish with a smile.

How did you train and prepare for the BC Winter Games?

Our ice time in the North is minimal compared to the skaters in other regions. So I went out and fundraised and asked sponsors to help me achieve extra ice time as well as I have been working extra hard on off ice items.

What are your other activities are you involved in (other sports, arts, volunteering)?

I really enjoy soccer and helping our young skaters learn how to skate.

Please share any other interesting stories about you and your involvement in sport.

Sports have taught me how to focus, reach goals and keeps me grounded.

Why did you want to try out and qualify for the 2014 BC Winter Games?

I thought participating in the BC Winter Games would be an experience and challenge of a lifetime

Who is your coach and what is the most important thing she/he has taught you?

Joanne Macnair is my coach, she has taught me to have confidence in my self never give up and to enjoy my skating.

What do you consider to be your highest achievement (athletic, academic, or other)?

I think my highest proudest achievement was winning gold at Provincials last summer with my soccer team. This achievement has helped me challenge myself towards achieving my best at BC Winter Games.
