The second annual Budofest is coming up April 26-27.
The event, held at Canadian Martial Arts Academy on North Railway Avenue, will feature some exceptionally talented martial artists teaching, and will collect donations for the Fraser Valley Humane Society and St. Joseph’s Food Bank.
Last year, a few hundred pounds of food were donated, said event organizer, Chris Ginter, from Mission Ju Jitsu Club.
Among the standout teachers will be Prof. Marcus Soares, the top Brazilian jiujitsu instructor in North America.
Budofest runs 10 a.m. to noon April 26 and 1 to 3 p.m. on April 27.
