Chaplin wins gold at gymnastic nationals

Mission Twisters gymnasts place well at Canadian nationals

Mission’s Steven Chaplin captured all-around gold in the junior level at last weekend’s Canadian National Gymnastics Championships in Ottawa.

The weekend before Nationals, nine Twisters gymnasts from the women’s competitive team competed at the Garden City Invitational in Victoria. Between them, they won 14 gold, silver, and bronze medals.

 

Mission results:

• Brienna Gaspar, Provincial Level 3 Argo: bronze on bars, silver on beam and floor, fourth all-around.

• Katrina Penner-Loat, Provincial Level 3 Novice: eighth all-around.

• Marissa Engh, Provincial Level 2 Argo: gold on beam, silver on floor, bronze all-around.
