In the 0.4 kilometre races, Maxine Forder of West Vancouver won the midget girls event in a time of 1:08.00, beating Elizabeth Elliott of Revelstoke and Benita Peiffer of Whistler to the finish line.

Remi Drolet of Rossland was the midget boys champ, winning in a time of 1:00.70, ahead of Comox's Ross Lamon and Konrad Van Varseveld of Salmon Arm.

Vancouver native Ruby Meihuizen took down the juvenile girls title, edging Zone 5 teammate Jenna Sim of North Vancouver and Rachel May of Salmon Arm with a clocking of 1:02.20.

Tallon Noble of Courtenay took the juvenile boys gold medal in a time of 58.60, ahead of Travis Pete of Smithers and Salmon Arm's David Baker.
