The 10th annual Doorwarz event took place on the weekend at Mission’s Raceway Park. Doorwarz10, powered by Titanium Autogroup, featured some of the best racers in the game.

The West Coast Pro Modifieds final between Dean Bettenson and Bahrain1 racer, Khalid Al Balooshi was truly exciting. Bettenson cut a .51 RT to Khalid’s .53 with the margin of victory being only .0014 and the win ultimately going to Bettenson.

Equally as exciting was Derek Scherk of Titanium Autogroup’s win in the Winter Harbour Marina Canada West Doorslammer Category on Friday with the brand spanking new ’55 Belair they had unveiled only two days earlier.

Peter Lachanas was on fire all weekend, getting the runner up to Scherk on Friday after he had to lift coming too close to the wall, and then respectively winning Canada West Doorslammer’s second race with a killer .002 light in the final round Saturday.

Mda Fabrication West Coast Outlaw Series X275 had the biggest field we have ever seen on the property, with GEN 3 SPEED’s Jordy Lazic and Jordan Brandon ultimately coming out on top Friday and Saturday after hovering at the top of the qualifying ladders all weekend.

Vanessa Richards dominated the Limited Street category all weekend, remaining as the top qualifier and then taking home the wins both Friday and Saturday.

No surprise was seeing Don Murray in the final against Rob Munro Sr. Both well seasoned 604 Street Legit racers. Don taking the win in that beautiful ’70 Hemi Cuda.

Al Quigley pulled off the win for RAD Torque Systems in the Vancouver Car Wraps Electronics category in a round that was all on the finish line with Dan Parsons after they both cut .011 lights.

And Bubba’s Speed Shop non-electronics saw Veronica Hodgeson take out last week’s Oil City Classic winner Lorenz Schwarz in her ’69 Dart.

Last, but certainly not least, was the JBS Equipment JR Shootout winners with Cody Plews taking home the win in JR Street and Lexi Winterbottom winning the shootout.

Lexi following in the footsteps of her father and grandfather is a third generation racer here.
