McKenna Colthrop of Kelowna took home the gold medal for the pre-novice women’s figure skating. She finished with a combined score of 102.07 from Friday and Saturday’s performances.

Ajsha Gorman of Kelowna took the silver with a combined score of 91.96, while Rochelle Reeve, also from Kelowna, received the bronze medal with a combined score of 82.93.

Colthrop is only 12 years old and receiving the medal is a big achievement for her.

“I feel really proud coming here and this is a big honour,” she said.

“It’s really nice to see the whole team here doing their best,” said Kelowna coach Madison Lyon.
