Fraser Valley athletes stroll into to Thursday night's Opening Ceremonies for the 2014 BC Winter Games in Mission.

After the first day of Mission BC Winter Games action, the Fraser Valley zone is ahead with 13 medals (four gold, five silver and four bronze).

Coming up in second place is Vancouver-Squamish, with nine medals (five gold, one silver and three bronze).

The Thompson-Okanagan has seven medals (three silver and four bronze).

Rounding out the overall results is Kootenays (four medals), Vancouver Island-Central Coast (four), Cariboo-North East (three), North West (one) and Fraser River Delta (zero).
