The Fraser Valley Mountain Bike Association is holding its AGM on Jan. 17.

The Fraser Valley Mountain Bike Association (FVMBA) had a successful year and wants the public to know about it.

The FVMBA is holding its AGM and is looking for new members to join up.

This past year, significant trail work was accomplished in Mission and Chilliwack.

The trail Bear Buns on Mission’s Bear Mountain was given a new take on an old trail. This 1.2 kilometre long trail was completed through 300 to 400 volunteer hours.

In Chilliwack, Sunny Side Up was completed on Vedder after two years’ hard work from the organization and volunteers.

During the 2015 season, the FVMBA ran an outstanding race series. The Trailblazer Race Series ran three races throughout the valley. Each race saw 80 to 100 participants, both male and female, with a few pro-level riders.

The AGM will feature guest speaker Daniel Scott, a trail building master planner.

The AGM is set for Sunday, Jan. 17 at 4 p.m. at the Work Here: Professional Co-working Space, 22674 Dewdney Trunk Rd. in Maple Ridge. Everyone is welcome.
