Goalie Latimer heating up for Outlaws

Mission junior B team wins one, lose one last week

The Mission City Outlaws split a pair of games last week, edging the Ridge Meadows Flames 3-2 on Thursday and falling to the North Delta Devils by the same score Saturday.

Against Ridge Meadows, the Outlaws twice erased one-goal deficits thanks to goals from Kyle Lennea and Brody Dyck, and David McGowan's third-period tally stood up as the game-winner. Goalie William Latimer made 30 saves in the victory.

On Saturday, Mission was out-shot 51-21 by North Delta, but managed to stay in the game thanks to a heroic performance by Latimer. Bryce Pisiak accounted for both of the Outlaws' goals.

The Outlaws (3-6-2) are back in action on home ice tonight (Thursday, Oct. 24) against the North Vancouver Wolf Pack (7:15 p.m., Mission Leisure Centre).
